Estimated read time: 6-7 minutes PROVO — Smith Snowden didn't have the best start in the final 100-meter dash of his high school career on Saturday. But like a defensive back adjusting to an offensive scheme, the University of Utah-bound cornerback made the perfect fix at the right time. Snowden ran a 10.59 100 to win his first state title, edging West Jordan's Gabe Remy by .01 seconds at the 6A state track and field championships at BYU. "I knew right when I got started that I was going to have to make up some time," said Snowden, who lost in the state final by a similar time a year ago to Roy's Parker Kingston .
